According to Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, the short movie of the British television BBC on Bulgarian resort Sunny Beach, which has got quite popular amongst the Bulgarian facebook users recently is "not a campaign against the Bulgarian tourism". It is a movie about a one serious social problem of the British youth - alcohol.

So, are we surprised? Come on, we are Bulgarians and nothing can surprise us. We have already seen how the people who are supposed to defend our interests and our dignity, sell it instead. Oh, sorry - donate it! Somehow, no matter how many times we've been criticized, yet we don't have an immunitet against a reason for national insult. We've been digesting many bitter comments on our country for a long time.

Bitter because France is convinced that we are not better than monkeys. Bitter, because, in England about Bulgarian is appropriate to speak bad, or anything! Bitter because there hasn't been even one politician, director, ambassador and president to defend our wrinkled dignity ... And Levski is gone!

The BBC's documentary hasn't been properly understood. Yeah... once Dimitar Stoyanov wasn't understood by a Hungarian MEP, but he was forced to apologize! However, who is gonna apologize to us? It won't be those journalists who have decided to make the movie scandalous as easy as they can, because for more objective material they should be more competent on this subject.

I do not think it is going to be Mr. Rumen Draganov eighter , because he obviously does not see a problem. In fact, again according to Mr. Draganov, the movie on Sunny Beach will not have a negative impact on our tourism and even we have already reported 8% increase in foreign visitors. What did you expect? To represent a resort where booze is almost free, where there are no laws, police and you are allowd to do all the forbidden things and you think this place will not get the most popular holiday destination among the teenagers? Well, it would be wierd if not.

But perhaps, Mr. Draganov, you're right. Maybe the problem is really in us, because we are ungrateful to the BBC's journalists, who actually have made us a free top commercial. May be the problem is in the hotel owners for trying to make a profit, if this is not the initial purpose of a private business. Could be the bar owners and the alcohol suppliers.. or may be the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting is making bigger mess, than we think?

But, dear friends, dear mr. Draganov, the truth is that this cheap movie is not making us a favour or a free commercial, because even without it, our sea resorts are turning into a beta English, Russian and German version of Filipovtsi - some place, where some people shit and we are there to clean the shits.

The truth is that this movie is not an advertisement of Bulgaria. It is more of a mockery and someone had to respond adequately.

We think it is time to respond and to show you the all year view of the British streets. because, my darlings, the pigsty doesn't get the pigs dirty... they do it by themselves.
